Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Design Buff LLC ("Design Buff", "we", "us") collects when you use the Typecast website and the Typecast app for Mac, and what we do with it. The short version: we keep your account details, we never receive your font files, and we do not sell your data.
1. Who we are
Typecast is made by Design Buff LLC, a New Jersey, USA company. You can reach us at hello@typecast.pro.
2. What we collect
Account data
When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and the fact that you used Google to sign in. If you sign in with a password, we store it only in a hashed form. We cannot read it. This account data is stored with our database and sign-in provider, Supabase.
Plan and billing data
We store which plan you have (Monthly, Yearly or Lifetime), its status and when the current period ends. Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your card or other payment details directly. We never see or store your card number.
Website data
Our website is hosted by Hostinger, which keeps standard server logs such as IP address and pages requested. The site serves its own typefaces, so no font requests go to Google or any other third party. The site stores your sign-in session in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising trackers.
3. What we do not collect
- Your font files. They sync through your own cloud drive (iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive) and never reach our servers.
- Your font lists. The list of your fonts and collections that Typecast syncs also moves through your own cloud drive, not through us.
- The contents of your cloud drive.
Your cloud provider handles that data under its own terms and privacy policy.
4. How we use data
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To work out whether your plan is active, so the app and site know what you can use.
- To take payments and manage billing through Stripe.
- To email you about your account, such as sign-in confirmation, password reset and receipts, and to answer support requests.
- To keep the service working and fix problems.
5. App updates
The Typecast app for Mac checks for updates on GitHub. When it does, GitHub receives standard request information such as your IP address, under GitHub's own privacy policy. The update check does not include your fonts or account details.
6. Who we share data with
We share data only with the services that help us run Typecast:

We do not sell your personal data. We do not show ads. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights and users.
7. How long we keep data
We keep account and plan data while your account is open. When you delete your account we remove it, except for records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons (for example payment records held by Stripe).
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the data we hold about you. To delete your account, email hello@typecast.pro from the address on the account. We will confirm and complete the deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, such as the right to access or port your data. Email us and we will help.
Deleting your Typecast account does not delete fonts from your Macs or your cloud drive. Those stay under your control.
9. Security
We use well-known providers and encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Because your font files never reach us, they are not exposed to a breach of our systems.
10. Children
Typecast is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
11. International use
We are based in the United States and our providers may process data there and elsewhere. By using Typecast you understand that your account data may be transferred to and stored in those places.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. If we make a significant change we will tell you by email or on the site. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
